February 4th 2008

Instant update! It's true Adam and I failed on our quest last year to do every attraction at Disneyland. Actually we failed hard, we came into some problems (mainly me never really wanting to carry Yoda on my back all of the time, though Adam never offered to carry him) but this year we will attempt to do it again, and succeed.

Last Night was our first trip together since Adam's birthday, as well as the first time we had seen each other since then. We hit up our normal spots at the parks (sadly TSMM had broken down when we went over) as well as some things we never tend to do, such as Muppets 3D and the Golden Horseshoe performance. I'm not sure how many of you have ever been into the Golden Horseshoe (I myself didn't discover it until early last year) but there was a band who played shows in there known as Billy Hill and The Hillbillies, which I found to be a great combination of music and comedy. Unfortunately the Billies are no longer the residents in the Horseshoe and now a new Frontierland show has taken stage. I was weary at first but boy was I wrong, the show had me laughing harder than I had in the longest time, I assure everyone that their time will be well spent.

As we were exiting Fantasyland at the end of the night Adam and I spotted the line for Peter Pan, which to our surprise looked to be about a 10 minute wait, which we had never seen before. After some thinking it over we hopped in line for the ride. We spent a total time of 14 minutes waiting in line and riding the ride, a length most people wait twice as long just to get onto the ride. Great.

Adam will have the pictures posted shortly.

The Long Overdue Adam's 23rd Birthday Post

Yes, this post is two months late, but at least you're finally getting to see it.. right?! On November 15th, myself (Adam) and five of my closest friends spent the smokey Orange County day at Disneyland to celebrate my 23rd birthday. That morning, fires flared up in Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills, casting an orange glow and smokey skies over Disneyland for nearly the entire day. For a Saturday, the park seemed more empty than normal, probably due to smart people wanting to stay out of the smoke. Too bad we aren't smart enough for that, or maybe, just maybe, we love Disneyland too much for a little smoke to stop us! We spent the early part of the day at California Adventure, before heading to Disneyland, then ESPNzone for dinner, and back to Disneyland to close out the celebration. Of course, we have pictures to document parts of the day. What would this update be without pictures???

(Truthfully I felt that if we were going to burn to death in a fire, no better place for it to happen than Disneyland. Am I right? -Ruben)

(My superior and yet to be beaten by my friends high score on TSMM which was achieved that day- Ruben)
